One of your favorite things to do when traveling is to visit local markets?
Unfortunately you often get frustrated by seeing beautiful products in the market but not having a kitchen to cook them? This is not a problem any more.
While visiting our lovely country, join us for a market & tasting tour and a private hands-on Hungarian cooking class in Budapest.
Imagine strolling through a Hungarian market, picking up the perfect ingredients for a delicious Hungarian meal with the help of an expert on Hungarian food, and then cooking all of that seasonal fresh produce in a private home kitchen.
If you are looking for just that – a market and tasting tour and a Hungarian cooking class in Budapest – then this is the class for you!
We will meet you at the main entrance to the Central Market Hall, which is the biggest and the most famous indoor market in Budapest and attracts shoppers for its spaciousness and architectural decor.
Nowadays the Central Market Hall is a real tourist paradise because you can find many-many traditional Hungarian delicacies like strings of red paprika and garlic, Hungarian salamis, sausages, hams and other meat products, fresh pastries, dairy products, Hungarian wines and pálinka and of course, souvenirs. You can also try local dishes on the upper level. It is honestly a special experience, so make sure to visit the Great Market Hall if you have the chance!.
The private cooking class is hands-on and taught in English.
The cooking lesson itself is approximately 4 hours in length and includes a multi-course traditional Hungarian meal (first course, second course and dessert) with glass of delicious regional wine – and of course great conversation in the home of a friendly native Hungarian couple!
You will gain a valuable insight into the various techniques of food preparation and the cooking style used in traditional Hungarian homes.
