Vegetarian Cooking Class

A fresh, vegetarian take on Hungary’s most beloved flavors — authentic, comforting, and full of tradition. Hungarian cuisine isn’t only about meat — it’s about flavor, depth, and heart.

Duration: 3-4 hours

Many of the dishes our grandparents loved were built on vegetables, grains, and the magic of paprika long before “vegetarian” had a name.

In this immersive 3–4 hour class, you’ll prepare three full vegetarian dishes from scratch, inspired by classic Hungarian recipes and adapted with authentic techniques. Think seasonal vegetable soups, rich paprika stews and warm, home-style desserts that taste like childhood.

Whether you follow a vegetarian lifestyle, explore plant-based cooking, or want to reconnect with the foods your Hungarian family once made, this class offers a delicious way to experience our culinary heritage — without compromise.

Warm, hands-on, and full of flavor, it’s a fresh look at Hungarian cooking through a lighter, greener lens.

“We had such a great time cooking with Agnes! She went above and beyond altering our menu to satisfy my vegetarian diet but allowing my husband to enjoy meat dishes too. It was very interesting to visit a local apartment, immerse in the culture and spend a day shopping and cooking, just beware of getting very full!!”
Onnex M. From Niagara Falls, Canada

“My husband and I enjoyed Agnes teaching us Hungarian vegetarian cooking- that in itself is a challenge in meat loving Hungary.
