General Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before booking. By placing a booking, the Customer accepts and agrees to be bound by all points contained herein. These Terms & Conditions define the contractual relationship between the Customer and the Service Provider and provide all essential information in accordance with applicable consumer protection regulations.

II. Services Offered

The following culinary experiences can be booked through budapestcookingclass.com:
Market Tour – Central Market Hall Budapest, Vámház krt. 1-3.
Hungarian Cooking Class – 1093 Budapest, Bakáts tér 8.

During the Market Tour, guests purchase and taste ready-made products. During the Cooking Class, guests prepare traditional Hungarian dishes together with a host and enjoy the meal at the end of the program. Both the Market Tours and Cooking Classes are private events, and the Service Provider will not pair guests with other travelers. A minimum of 2 participants is required to run the events.

III. Booking and Payment

You can book and pay in two convenient ways:

Online via FareHarbor – secure payment by credit card at the time of booking.

Direct booking on our website (budapestcookingclass.com) – by filling out the booking form. In this case, payment is made in cash on the day of the program.

Bookings are confirmed by email within 48 hours. Your reservation is only final once payment (or booking confirmation in case of cash payment) has been received.

IV. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation at least 24 hours before the start of the program: 100% refund.

Cancellation within 24 hours: no refund.

No-shows: no refund.

V. Health and Allergies

Guests must inform the Service Provider in writing of any food allergies, intolerances, or dietary requirements at the time of booking or at least 24 hours before the program. Failure to do so releases the Service Provider from any liability regarding allergic reactions.

VI. Insurance and Liability

Participation in the programs is at the guest’s own responsibility. Each participant is required to have valid travel and accident insurance. The Service Provider is not liable for any accidents, injuries, damages, or other extraordinary events occurring during the program.

VII. Service Provider’s Rights and Obligations

The Service Provider is obliged to organize and deliver the booked program at the highest possible standard.
The Service Provider reserves the right to reschedule the program if necessary, in which case the Customer will be informed at least 24 hours in advance. In case of cancellation by the Service Provider, the full amount paid will be refunded, or an alternative date will be offered.

VIII. Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 100% money-back guarantee. If at any time during the Market Tour or Cooking Class you decide it is not for you, are not satisfied with the service, or simply expected something else, please let us know immediately and we will provide a full refund, no questions asked.

IX. Customer’s Rights and Obligations

Customers must provide accurate information when booking. Customers are required to behave in a respectful manner during the program and not disturb other participants. During the Cooking Class, customers must follow basic safety and hygiene instructions.

X. Complaints

Any complaints may be submitted in writing to agnes@budapestcookingclass.com. The Service Provider will investigate and respond to all complaints within 30 days.

XI. Data Protection

The Service Provider handles all personal data provided during booking confidentially and uses it solely for the fulfillment of the order. Data will not be shared with third parties except when required by law. For full details, please refer to the Privacy Policy available on the website.

XII. Final Provisions

These Terms and Conditions are effective from 4 September 2025. The Service Provider reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version is always available on www.budapestcookingclass.com.

For matters not regulated in these Terms and Conditions, Hungarian law shall apply, particularly the Civil Code and relevant consumer protection legislation.
